Itinerary

Activity #1 - Pickup and Taray Viewpoint

The day begins with a pickup from your accommodation between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. We will travel towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, making our first stop at the Taray viewpoint. From here, you will have a spectacular panoramic view of the entire valley, with the Urubamba River snaking through fertile fields and traditional villages.

Activity #2 - Exploring Pisaq Archaeological Site

Our next stop is the impressive archaeological site of Pisaq, perched high on a mountain overlooking the valley. We will explore its stunning agricultural terraces, religious temples, and military sectors. Afterwards, we will descend to the modern town to visit its famous artisan market (please note the main market day is Sunday).

Activity #3 - Buffet Lunch in Urubamba

Around 12:30 PM, we will travel to the town of Urubamba, the commercial center of the Sacred Valley, to enjoy a delicious and varied buffet lunch featuring fresh, local Peruvian ingredients.

Activity #4 - Discovering Ollantaytambo

Continuing our tour, we head to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that remains continuously inhabited, preserving its ancient urban design. We will visit the monumental archaeological site, climbing its steep terraces to see the impressive Temple of the Sun. (Note: If you have a connection to Machu Picchu, you will be dropped off at the train station after this visit).

Activity #5 - Visiting Chinchero and its Textile Art

Next, we will ascend to the high plains to visit the archaeological site of Chinchero. This town is renowned for its beautiful colonial church built upon Inca foundations and for its rich tradition of textile art, where you will learn about ancestral weaving and dyeing techniques.

Activity #6 - Return to Cusco

To conclude our comprehensive tour, we will begin the journey back to the city of Cusco, finishing at the main square (Plaza de Armas) around 6:30 PM, leaving you in a central location to enjoy your evening.
